About Us
Mr. James Kemp
Founder and Lead Attorney
Originally from Tennessee, James grew up playing basketball and continued his passion at the collegiate level.
After college, he moved to Nashville and spent five years as a high school basketball coach and teacher, shaping young lives on and off the court.
After personally navigating the criminal justice system, James pivoted his career to help others facing similar challenges. He earned his J.D. from Belmont College of Law (2020), and also has a Master of Arts in Teaching (2017), and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2012)
.
James began his legal career at Ryan C. Davis Law, PLLC in Nashville and later practiced for two years at the Law Office of Erin Bradley McAleer in Vancouver, WA. Drawing from personal experience with both the criminal justice system and family law courts, he brings a unique perspective to his clients’ cases.
James founded James Kemp Law to provide aggressive, compassionate, and results-driven legal representation, blending professional expertise with personal understanding of the challenges his clients face.
When he’s not practicing law, James enjoys time with his son, Kyrie James, his dogs Teddy and Cash, and cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers.
